This Savory Ensemble of family and friends blends the coolness of classical and the hot rhythmic sounds of Latin music featuring marimba, strings, trombone, piano and percussion for one explosive evening topped with salsa dancing.
The Friday, June 1st, evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a “happy-hour” catered by McCormick & Schmick's and music by the "Nicholas Radina Latin Trio". The concert begins at 7:00 p.m.

The Mayor’s 801 Plum Concerts provide a unique opportunity to hear music in the urban mainstay of downtown Cincinnati: City Hall’s Council chambers. A fresh alternative to the standard local fare, young audiences ages 21-40 can indulge in an eclectic infusion of classical, jazz, percussion, Latin and hip-hop music performed by dynamic, diverse, and world-renowned musicians.
Local celebrities serve as emcee for each concert, setting the tone for a relaxed and interactive “Chill & Chat” session between the musicians and the audience in this intimate and unusual 300-seat performance venue.

The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA), headquartered in Irving, Texas, was established in 1988 and serves 29 chapters and more than 6,200 members in the United States and Puerto Rico. It exists to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development. Mayor’s Young Professional Kitchen Cabinet Arts & Entertainment Committee is extending an invitation to MidwestLatino members to visit Mayor Mallory’s YKPC Art Allies Series. The series was created to bring together young professionals, and the city officials to support the ARTS in our fine city. The series is a year long and will feature both big and small art organizations. Think of the series as a year long sampler of the arts!

Several Cincinnati organizations that signed a request to WLW 700 Radio Station for an immidiate removal of the "Big Juan" ads (to see the press release click here), finding it insensitive and offending to the Latino/Hispanic community, held on Tue. The press conference was covered by several TV Stations and newspapers, among them Cincinnati Enquirer and WCPO
It was tremendous to see all the organization and people of different religions, ethnic backgrounds, and races, to rally in support of the Latino community. As stated in the petition: "By making this collective statement, we are declaring that we are committed to working together until Cincinnati reflects the type of multicultural and diverse City that we all can be proud to live, work and play".

After slow start on Saturday caused by rainy weather, Sunday was more friendly to Cincy-Cinco Festival visitors, with beautiful sunny weather. There was a lot of great Latino entertainment and plenty of food.
