On Sunday, September 17th, 2006, MidwestLatino was invited to a picnic organized by Michigan's Hispanic Coalition for DeVos. Dick DeVos is running for the Governor of Michigan and is reaching out to the Hispanic/Latino community. The picnic was an opportunity for him to meet with Michigan Hispanics, answer their questions, and seek their feedback.

The entertainment was provided by Detroit's best Salsa band - Orquesta Sensacional, giving Dick DeVos a chance to practice his Salsa dancing skills.

As last year, the Indianapolis Fiesta was a lot of fun! With great local bands such as Ipanema, Mantra, and Salsa & Company, and guest star Orquesta Iluziones, the festival visitors stayed till the very end dancing and having fun.

But the night was not over, as most of them headed to ICE for a Latino party with DJ TaZ and Reggaeton sensation "Final 4our" from Detroit and co-sponsored by MidwestLatino.

Another great Salsa night @ Mad Frog, with people enjoying the awesome new dance floor and Non-Smoking room!

Pictures from this week's Salsa with Tropicoso @ Cincinnati's hottest Latino spot - "The Mad Frog", are on the Web in the Cincinnati section of our Photo Gallery (click here).

Each Monday, Mad Frog has its basement open - with the best in Reggaeton and Hip-hop. It's like having two clubs for the price of one: live Salsa/Merenge upstairs with Tropicoso, and Reggaeton and Hip-hop downstairs!

The picnic of the Brazilian community in the Tri-State was a full success!

A tradition for many years to get together and celebrate Brazilian Independence Day, it gives opportunity to our Brazilian friends to get together, reconnect with friends and make new ones, listen to Brazilian music and taste Brazilian food, and have fun.

Cincinnati's premier Salsa Band, Son del Caribe performed this Saturday, Sept. 9th, in Indianapolis' red hot new club: The COZY, (formerly the Blue Cactus), 20 North Pennsylvania Ave.

This new place for the new Salseros is fantastic, with a HUGE wooden dance floor. It was so much fun to be there.
