Carlos Vives, the sensational singer from Colombia, delivered an awesome performance in Columbus on Sept. 26th, and MidwestLatino was there to report from this concert.

Drawing on his childhood roots of vallenato music--accordion and percussion-rooted dance music prevalent in Colombia's Caribbean provinces--Carlos Vives burst onto the music scene with Clásicos de la Provincia over a decade ago, and hasn't slowed down since. His latest album, El Rock de Mi Pueblo, takes his music "as far as it can go, aggressively merging it with blues and rock," according to Billboard.

With Latinos coming from Dayton, Cincinnati, and as far as Pittsburgh, it was definitely an event not to miss! Pictures from the concert are on the Web (click here)
