Over the year since my SalsaTangoSon web site opened, thanks to Michael Beck from Midwestlatino, I have had the chance to think about what most of my students were asking for. Therefore I decided to try a new format and an update of my website. In addition to information about instruction, and events, the new site will have information about Cuba and Argentina - all about their culture, their people and especially their dances and their music.
The students will also have a place to show their friends and family what they are learning through pictures and video clips that I always take from my classes. You can also leave your testimonial about your experience with SalsaTangoSon. I plan to provide a store for Argentine and Cuban related merchandise and a link to an Argentine Tango Radio station and a Cuban Salsa Radio station.
I’ve been teaching for 18 years, with twelve of those years in the Tri-State area and have great experience, including the advantage of the cultural background of growing up in Buenos Aires, and the one I got for being married to a Cuban bailador for 8 years, to offer current and potential students!
Our New Tango And Salsa Lessons and Workshops starting in January are ready for you to pre-register. Go to www.salsatangoson.com and will find all the info in the home page.
I hope you enjoy this new website and also be part of it! Happy New Year!/ Felices Fiestas para todos!

On Thursday, Dec. 13th, members of Dayton’s Coalition For Solidarity With Immigrants met at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with City of Dayton and Montgomery County Commissioners, the police and Sheriff’s Office, and members of the community to talk about immigration. The honorable Judge Rice was moderating the meeting.
The goals of the meeting were to educate Commissioners on immigration, contributions of documented and undocumented immigrants to the economy and to the City of Dayton, to illustrate how the arrests and deportations are dividing families, to reeducate on the Matricula Consular, to present a resolution for the Commissioners, and to educate on some ways that Dayton can be a welcoming community for Hispanic immigrants and residents.
