Events : Bad Weather doesn't stop Salsaholics!
Posted by admin on 2008/2/23 17:00:00 (1458 reads)

Friday was cold, the roads were partially still slippery after the Thursday snow storm, but that didn't stop true Salsaholics from going out to dance.

In Cincinnati, we had a Fundraiser for ballet tech cincinnati in their new headquarters on Montgomery road. The facility is awesome, with huge dance floor, and a balcony above the dance floor. There is still a work needed to be done, but that's why we had the Fundraiser for them.

More pictures are in the Cincinnati section of our Photo Gallery (click here...)

Then in Dayton, we had our weekly "Friday Latin Night @ Cream Nite Club". Also there, the weather didn't stop the true Salsaholics from coming and having fun on the dance floor!

A BIG Thank You to all of you who came out and supported local Salsa scene despite the bad weather!!!! We very much appreciate it!!!

"Pulsing percussion, fiery horns, passionate vocals, all wrapped in a skintight, sophisticated package. Tropicoso is the real deal, bringing the true Latin sound to Cincinnati  at The Mad Frog.  And even a snow storm won't keep the fans away! Now, that's what we call a dedication!

Every Monday Mad Frog is the hottest Salsa place in Cincinnati, thanks to Tropicoso. The latest pictures in the Cincinnati section of our Photo Gallery (click here).

And each Monday, Mad Frog has its basement open - with the best in Reggaeton, Hip-hop, and World rhythms. It's like having two clubs in one: live Salsa/Merenge upstairs with Tropicoso, and eclectic beats downstairs!

Events : Tiempo Libre @ Cincinnati, OH (Feb. 8th, 2008)
Posted by admin on 2008/2/9 13:50:00 (1483 reads)

Grammy-nominated Tiempo Libre is one the hottest young Latin bands in the world today. The Miami-based band has become known for their explosive, joyful performances of timba - an irresistible, dance-inducing mix of high-voltage Latin jazz and the seductive rhythms of son. Since their formation in 2001, Tiempo Libre has been traveling the country, reinterpreting and reinvigorating traditional Cuban music with a youthful, modern sound and forging a new style born from the meeting of their Cuban roots and their new American experience.

And they delivered!!! The concert was fantastic, with people dancing between the eisles

The After-Party @ Havana Martini Club was also hot, thanks to Salsa Caliente, who also did the Pre-show at Aronoff Center!
