The hottest new club in town - "Alchemize" - hosted another installment of the hottest dance music: "Reggaeton" with DJ Danny D from Miami Beach.
It was also an opportunity for Latino students from local universities like Univesity of Dayton and University of Cincinnati to meet, network, and enjoy the music. Pictures from the April 1st Reggaeton Party are on the Web (click here) The next Reggaeton Party is on Friday, April 15. This event takes place every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 10 PM-2:30 PM, with DJ Danny D spinning the very best of Reggaeton, and spicing it up with Salsa and Merengue.

Tony Simms from the "Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs" raised at the recent meeting of the Cincinnati Board of Education the importance of "English as a Second Language" program at Cincinnati Public Schools. This was the last chance before the vote on the State Budget to meet and discuss with Rep. Coley how the potential Education cuts will affect the Latino population.

The Ohio Civil Rights Commission and the Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs, in collaboration with HUD has worked to bring you an opportunity to increase your knowledge and awareness of credit and homeownership, in order for you to extend this knowledge to the communities in which you work.
This is a “train the trainer” session in which OCRC and OCHLA will provide you with the tools to teach Latino community members about fair housing rights, financial literacy and homeownership.
