January is Supplier Diversity Celebration Month at Cincinnati Public Schools and Pamela Mullins, manager of Supplier Diversity at Cincinnati Public Schools, invites everyone to “Flavors of Diversity” - a festive and unique workshop to take place on Thu. Jan. 18th from 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM, to experience the diversity of Latino cultures.

“This workshop has been created to enable a very different way of focusing on common ground.  Foods and flags will have visual connections to the teachings to help better facilitate the conversation,” Mullins said. “Hispanics and African-Americans are the two largest minority groups in Greater Cincinnati that we are currently serving through our program. Workshop participants will experience the diversity of 10 Spanish-speaking countries and sample the taste of traditional flavors of Latin American food prepared by local chef talent Liliana Gebran-Tramontin, from Venezuela (of Lebanese descent). Alma Bartos, director of the Cincinnati Spanish Academy, has taken their ‘Playgroup’ concept and created this special diversity workshop for CPS’ Supplier Diversity.”

The Cincinnati Spanish Academy offers people and businesses the opportunity to learn the Spanish language and be exposed to Hispanic culture. Their presentations are customized to meet client’s interests and are delivered at businesses, homes or other settings.
